A Pair of Father Son Duos Deliver At The Bullseye Pro-Am

It was double duty for the WPGA pro-am circuit on Monday. For the first time the section presented two four-player pro-ams on the same day at different venues. In total forty-eight teams would tee it up between the two sites. Nineteen of which would make the trek to Bullseye Golf Club in Wisconsin Rapids. A yearly pro-am host site through the 1990s and 2000s, the club would be hosting for the first time since 2016.

Burton & The Hidden Glen Boys Bring Home The Win

A rainy Monday morning left many wondering if the two WPGA pro-ams on the calendar would be played. Lady luck turned out to be on the WPGA’s side as the majority of the weather moved out of the state before the afternoon start time. A pleasant day for golf would accompany the twenty-nine teams at the X Golf Strawberry Creek Pro-Am. It marked the second straight sold out four-player pro-am field of the year.

Home Field Advantage Helps Deliver Nakoma The Pro-Ladies Win

Before the Wisconsin PGA could shift gears into June, it would visit the Madison area for the first of the two Pro-Ladies events on the 2022 calendar. A field of 115 golfers on 23 teams would tee it up Nakoma Golf Club on Tuesday. It turned out to be a great day for golf as the forecasted storms stayed away and the cloud cover provided some relief from the humidity.

It was another action-packed Monday as the WPGA’s first 18-hole stroke play event of the year took place on the Trevino Course at Geneva National Resort and Club. For the fifth straight year the day featured the same format and offerings, with the Assistant Professional Stroke Play and Memorial Classic taking place simultaneously during the morning. The annual stroke play events were graciously sponsored by the Wisconsin Golf Sales Association and Rolex.

WPGA Match Play – The Elite Eight Storm Into The Quarters

The 56th playing of the WPGA Match Play Championship kicked off this past Monday, as the event ventured to the Washington County GC for the fourth time in its history. The field of WPGA members battled it out for four rounds of play as they started out with the seeding round and then followed it up with the first three rounds of matches on Monday and Tuesday.
