Podcasts / Webinars:  The WAGPA committee will be releasing our first podcast this month!  These podcasts / webinars will cover a broad number of topics designed to grow/benefit our assistant professionals and associates.  Topics will include teaching, merchandising, career enhancement and more!  If there is a subject/topic you would like covered, please contact me to discuss in more detail.

Seminars
Chenequa Spring Seminar:  Monday, April 27th!  Chenequa Country Club is hosting a free, educational lunch for Assistant Golf Professionals focusing on career path.  Those attending will have the opportunity to hear Bill Graham (Chenequa Country Club), Andy Barrett (Brown Deer Park Golf Course), Travis Becker (Beloit Club/Ironworks Golf Lab), and Jason Boaz (Wisconsin PGA Career Consultant) discuss their career paths to their current positions. The educational portion, which includes lunch, will run from 11:00am-12:30pm.  Following lunch, golf will be available to interested attendees!  Please contact jakevanfleet@pga.com to sign up.  Space is limited!

The WPGA’s Employment Committee has put together the Employment Reference Guide. The Employment Reference Guide was created to assist anyone seeking their next position in the golf industry. The guide contains information on understanding the hiring process, how to become a better candidate, résumés, interviewing and some stories from PGA Members about their career paths.
