There’s a path – winding though it is – that connects this week’s Wisconsin Senior PGA Professional Championship and the Senior PGA Championship, one of senior golf’s majors. Mick Smith successfully traveled that path recently, and on Tuesday afternoon he looked primed to do it again.

Michael Nagy’s win at the Wisconsin Assistant PGA Professional Championship Monday came with a few perks. One of them is a coveted spot in November’s National Assistant Championship in Florida, and the best part of that, Nagy said – sounding like the golf pro that he is – is the opportunity to extend the season and play even more golf.

Cody Strang found the winner’s circle for the second straight week on Monday. Last week he teamed up with three amateurs from This Legend at Bergamont at the Double Dip Pro-Am. This time he got the job done on his own at the WPGA Stableford Classic at Bullseye GC.

The Double Dip delivered once again on Monday. It was another exciting day, as the annual pro-am format provided plenty of contests to track. The dual team formats would include each foursome participating in a two net best ball event. Then the professional on the team would be paired up with each amateur in a one net of two game. There also was three skin games and low professional/low senior professional contests.
