It was another action-packed Monday as the WPGA’s first 18-hole stroke play event of the year took place on the Trevino Course at Geneva National Resort and Club. For the fifth straight year the day featured the same format and offerings, with the Assistant Professional Stroke Play and Memorial Classic taking place simultaneously during the morning. Mother nature came out swinging for a second week in a row as the WPGA tournament season looked to get underway on Monday. After snow kept the Spring Pro-Pro Scramble from taking place on April 18, the battle with the elements would resurface at the Spring Pro-Pro Better Ball. The 48 twosomes in the field had their work cut out for them as cold temperatures and wind would produce quite a challenge at the Beloit Club.

The Wisconsin Section of the Professional Golfers’ Association of America (WPGA) commemorates its 100-year anniversary with the 100 Holes For 100 Years fundraiser (#WPGA100Holesfor100Years). WPGA professionals across the state will participate in a golf-focused challenge raising money for a non-profit organization of their choice and for PGA REACH Wisconsin, the charitable foundation of the Wisconsin PGA.
