Tournament Recaps

It was another ideal day for golf on Monday, as the annual National Golf Graphics Pro-Am made a trip to The Legend at Merrill Hills. It was the fourth WPGA pro-am of the season, and in addition to the weather the players were treated to some great playing conditions.

For the third time in four weeks the Wisconsin PGA Pro-Am Series was back on course. This week featured twenty-five teams tackling Tuckaway CC, just outside of Milwaukee.

The hot streak of young ladies that wear the cardinal and white continued at the Wisconsin State Women’s Open on Wednesday. For the sixth straight season a current UW-Madison team member took home the coveted crown. Breaking up the run of four straight Tess Hackworthy wins was good friend and former teammate Emily Lauterbach of Hartland.

The WPGA Pro-Am Series was back in action on Monday, as twenty-four teams were able to enjoy the 2018 Wisconsin State Open host site, North Shore GC. Truly one of the hidden gems in the state, the private facility on Lake Winnebago put on a great show for those in attendance.

The WPGA pro-am series made its 2020 debut on Monday at Trappers Turn GC in Wisconsin Dells. A field of 22 teams from throughout Wisconsin were able to make the trip and enjoy a day on the Lake and Canyon courses.

Competitive golf made its return to the Wisconsin Section, PGA on Tuesday as the 2020 schedule got underway with the rescheduled Spring Pro-Pro Better Ball. It wasn’t business as usual but that was perfectly fine for the 84 participants that teed it up.
