Read More »The regular season of the WPGA Four-Player Pro-Am Series wrapped up around dinner time on Monday. The field was fortunate to experience a beautiful September day, as twenty-nine teams made the trip to Tuckaway CC for the PXG Pro-Am. Making the most of their trip south was the squad from Horseshoe Bay GC. Having traveled the farthest of the teams in the field the foursome of Jamie Christianson, Andrew Morel, Brad Hitt and Tim Schwecke was able to get the job done.

Read More »Jim Schuman won the Wisconsin State Senior Open Championship for the fourth time Wednesday afternoon, tying the record for overall wins in the championship, which was inaugurated in 1985. Schuman, who lives in Menomonee Falls, earned a three-stroke victory at Hidden Glen GC in Cedarburg on a day that the private club played even more difficult than usual. Schuman’s final-round 71 was the only under-par score recorded Wednesday.

After being derailed by some wet weather back in early May the participants of the TaylorMade Pro-Am were greeted with a beautiful day for golf. Originally scheduled to take place at the Wisconsin Club the event was moved to long-time pro-am host Geneva National Resort & Club when it was rescheduled.
Read More »To cap off the month of August the Wisconsin PGA brought together another sold-out field for the Summer Pro-Ladies. This year’s version would venture to Racine Country Club on Monday. The event got off to a bumpy start as severe weather rolled into the area shortly after the start of play. The saying “all’s well that ends well” summed up the day just fine. After an hour and half delay play would resume and eventually the field would be greeted with partly sunny skies for the remainder of their round.
Read More »The WPGA Stableford Classic was back on the schedule Tuesday, after a successful debut in 2021. Another exciting day of golf was on tap, as the players would look to ratchet up their aggressive play with the stableford format. Playing host to this year’s event was Old Hickory GC in Beaver Dam. The old-school course would be the ideal host, with plenty of birdies and eagles available throughout.
Read More »It always seems to come down to the short game when Wisconsin’s biggest golf tournaments are held at Ozaukee CC in Mequon, a woodsy 100-year-old golf course known its slick, contoured putting surfaces. Those green complexes went a long way toward determining another champion this week at Ozaukee CC, where Daniel Mazziotta won the Wisconsin State Open in a three-hole sudden-death playoff Wednesday evening after the sun had already set.

Kicking off in early May with two days of play, the remaining foursome would return to close things out at the site where the journey began.
