The Wisconsin Section of the Professional Golfers’ Association of America (WPGA) commemorates its 100-year anniversary with the 100 Holes For 100 Years fundraiser (#WPGA100Holesfor100Years). WPGA professionals across the state will participate in a golf-focused challenge raising money for a non-profit organization of their choice and for PGA REACH Wisconsin, the charitable foundation of the Wisconsin PGA. The foundation impacts youth, military and diverse populations by enabling access to PGA Professionals, PGA Sections and the game of golf.

Five WPGA Professionals Set To Compete In The 2022 PGA Professional Championship

The 2022 PGA Professional Championship kicks off on Sunday, April 17 at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, TX. The Wisconsin PGA will be represented by five professionals in this year’s 312 player field. Each individual earned a spot into the event with their play at the Wisconsin PGA Professional Championship last September.

Mark Voeller Leads the List of 2022 Wisconsin PGA Special Awards Winners

The Wisconsin Section of the Professional Golfers’ Association of America (WPGA) announces their 2022 Special Award Winners acknowledging exemplary service, dedication and accomplishments in golf. Eleven golf professionals from the section have been selected for their great accomplishments on and off the course and will receive their awards during the annual WPGA Spring Meeting to be held at The Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells on March 7.

Wisconsin PGA Releases 2022 Tournament Schedule

West Allis, Wis. – The Wisconsin PGA is pleased to roll out its tournament schedule for its centennial year. It will be another exciting year of competitive golf as the calendar features more than 40 playing opportunities. Whether professionals or amateurs are looking for a fun day of camaraderie, or a high level intense competition, the schedule will have something for everyone. The calendar of events will kick off with the annual WPGA Las Vegas Pro-Am in March and conclude with the Fall Pro-Pro Scramble in mid-October.

Rob Elliott Elected to the PGA of America Board of Directors

Hometown Milwaukee-area resident Rob Elliott, PGA, was among four PGA Members elected to three-year terms on the PGA of America Board of Directors today during the 105th PGA Annual Meeting at the Wisconsin Center. Joining Elliott as new Board Members are Eric Eshleman, PGA of Birmingham, Alabama; Derek Gutierrez, PGA, of Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico; and Barry Howard, PGA of Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Josue’ Reyes Honored As The 2020 National Resort Merchandiser of the Year

On the evening of November 2 the 2020 PGA of America National Awards winners finally received their just honors during a rousing ceremony to kickoff the 2021 PGA Annual Meeting. Delayed a year by the global pandemic, the PGA paid tribute to a class of 12 influential PGA Members at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee. Included in the honorees was Wisconsin Section member Josue’ Reyes. The PGA director of retail at Kohler Golf was recognized as the national resort merchandiser of the year for the second time in his career. A big congratulations goes out to Josue’ and the team at Kohler Golf.

Michael O’Reilly Elected The 32nd Wisconsin PGA President

Michael O’Reilly was elected as the 32nd Wisconsin PGA president on Monday morning at the association’s fall board of directors meeting. The PGA director of golf operations at Kohler Golf is taking over the reigns from Jeff Ellingson of Edelweiss Chalet CC. Ellingson wrapped up a modified 2 1/2 year term as president, which was extended to include the 2020 Ryder Cup. O’Reilly is approaching the start of his 19th year as a PGA member and has served on the association’s board of directors since 2012. He has been honored by the section in the past with the golf professional of the year award and player development honor.
