Mark Voeller was unanimously elected as the 33rd Wisconsin PGA president on Monday morning at the association’s fall board of directors meeting. The PGA professional and manager at Golf Galaxy Brookfield is taking over the presidency from Michael O’Reilly of Kohler Golf. O’Reilly wrapped up a two year term that included the Wisconsin PGA’s centennial and fundraising campaign in conjunction with it. He also played a key role in a marketing initiative that ran during the past five years, which promoted Wisconsin PGA professionals and careers in golf.
Read More »The 35th Senior PGA Professional Championship presented by Cadillac and supported by the GOLF Channel will kick off on Thursday, October 26. This year’s championship will once again take place on the Wanamaker and Ryder Courses at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, FL. It marks the 14th time that PGA Golf Club has hosted the championship.

It has been approximately two and half years since the the USGA awarded the U.S. Senior Open to SentryWorld and the event week is finally here. The course has previously held the 1986 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links, 2019 U.S. Girls’ Junior and numerous WSGA and WPGA championships. Later this August the course will also host the 103rd Suter Ward Group at Morgan Stanley Wisconsin State Open.

The Wisconsin PGA will be represented by five PGA professionals in this year’s 312 player field. Each individual earned a spot into the event with their play at the Wisconsin PGA Professional Championship last September.

Read More »The WPGA Las Vegas Pro-Am wrapped up late last week after four days of golf, camaraderie and entertainment. A sold-out field of fifty teams made the trip out west for a little fun. Each squad consisted of one WPGA professional and four amateurs. The event also marked the first time the Wisconsin PGA conducted a lottery for spots into the field. Over seventy-five Wisconsin PGA professionals expressed interest in attending this year’s event.
