Jacob Babcock, Tim Boegh, Molly Braid and Bobby Peterson were recently recognized as rising stars in the golf instructor category. The four Wisconsin PGA members claimed a spot on the Golf Digest Best Young Teachers in America list for 2025-2026 in early October.

The 2024 WPGA tournament season came to a close on Monday amidst the fantastic backdrop of the sand dunes of Sand Valley Resort. After more than 45 events during the past six months, the Premier Golf & Utility Vehicles Fall Pro-Pro Better Ball would put a bow on the season.

The countdown continued Monday to the end of the Wisconsin PGA tournament season. The Fall Pro-Pro Scramble supported by Harris Golf Cars, Antigua Apparel & Sterling Cut Glass visited Hawk’s View Golf Club for the second to last event on the 2024 calendar.

The 2024 Wisconsin PGA pro-am season came to a close on Monday. Just as it has the past eight years, the season finale would visit The Links Course at The GC’s of Lawsonia for the Oliphant Golf Management Pro-Am Championship.

A spot on the coveted Manuel de la Torre was up for grabs once again on Monday, as the annual Wisconsin PGA Pro-Assistant visited Westmoor Country Club. It marked the fourth time that the Brookfield club has hosted the event but the first since 1986.

The 36th Senior PGA Professional Championship will kick off on Thursday, September 26. This year’s championship heads west as it will be hosted on the Meadows and Woodlands at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Oregon.

Late last week the Wisconsin PGA ventured to Destination Geneva National for its first in-state multi-day pro-am. The Fall Take-Two Pro-Am Challenge put together a fun agenda over the course of the two days and the host facility did not disappoint. 

The regular season of the WPGA Four-Player Pro-Am Series concluded on Monday evening at the University Club of Milwaukee. In mid-September you never know what you’re going get weather wise but Monday sure was a good one. The summer like conditions had everyone in a great mood and excited to be teeing it up.

Mick Smith is on some kind of roll late in the 2024 Wisconsin competitive golf season – a fact that the Australia native proved once and for all Tuesday in the final round of the Wisconsin PGA Professional Championship.
