The Wisconsin Section is one of the 41 sections that comprise the regional entities of the PGA of America. Over 600 members and associates belong to the Wisconsin Section, stretching from areas in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to almost the entire state of Wisconsin. Annually, the Wisconsin Section conducts over 40 professional events, operates their foundation – PGA REACH Wisconsin, and participates in several growth-of-the-game activities including PGA Jr. League, Drive, Chip and Putt and PGA HOPE. Wisconsin PGA Office is located at 11350 W. Theo Trecker Way in West Allis, Wis.
The Wisconsin State Open had been played 105 times since 1919 and had featured virtually every luminary who ever swung a club in our state, from Manuel de la Torre to Andy North to Steve Stricker.

The two-event Wisconsin PGA Pro-Ladies series would come to a close on Monday. As the final event would venture to Madison and Blackhawk CC. After a five-player event in the spring at The Legend at Bristlecone, the summer version would feature four-player teams.

Davis Jensen may have found a new favorite golf course. With apologies to the membership at North Shore CC in Mequon, where he works, and a lot of fine people at his favorite tracks back home in New York State, Jensen admits he’s getting quite fond of Hidden Glen GC, where on Tuesday he won his second straight Vortex® Golf Wisconsin PGA Match Play Championship.
