Our First Individual Champions of 2026! 🏆

Monday was a big day at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa as 118 players teed it up for the WPGA / WIGSA Memorial Classic and Assistant Stroke & Match. Beyond the competition, it was a meaningful day as we gathered to remember the members of the... WPGA and Wisconsin Golf Salespersons Association communities we’ve lost over the past year.

Memorial Classic: Huge congrats to the home-course Head PGA Professional Drew Ringelstetter! He carded a 3-under-par 69 to claim a two-shot victory over Joe Leonard. The former UW-Stout golfer made four birdies on the way to the win, including three on his closing nine holes.

Assistant Stroke Play: In a marathon six-hole playoff, Jeffrey Perry of Whistling Straits defeated Steven Young to claim the victory. Each player carded a 3-under-par 69 in regulation. Jeffrey followed up his first individual WPGA stroke-play win by cruising through his first round assistants match later that afternoon!

A sincere thank you to the Wisconsin Golf Salespersons Association (WIGSA) and Rolex for their incredible support, and to the team at Grand Geneva for providing a top-tier venue and great conditions.

Yesterday, we had 10 instructors go through PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) training! Huge thank you to @jplunn, our Trainer for the day, and @x_golf_brookfield for hosting us!

It took a marathon playoff, but Jeffrey Perry of @golfkohler prevailed on Monday at the WPGA / Wisconsin Golf Salespersons Association Assistant Stroke Play!

After both players carded a 3-under-par 69 in regulation, Perry defeated Steven Young in a lengthy six-hole playoff to secure his ...first individual WPGA win.

The former Sacramento State golfer also cruised to the win in his first round match in the Assistants Match Play in the afternoon.

A big thanks to the WIGSA and Rolex for helping to enhance the event for the Assistants! We also send a shout-out to @grand_geneva for providing a great venue and some terrific course conditions.
