The Wisconsin PGA continued its march through the final month of the 2020 tournament season on Monday. A field of 34 two-player teams traveled to Pleasant View GC in Middleton, to play the Woods and Lake nines at the 36-hole facility. The day marked the first of the two annual Fall Pro-Pros on the calendar.

It was a cool, rainy, and breezy day, which left the field with a tough task to go as low as possible. Plugging away and pushing through those conditions the best was a trio teams. Finding that top spot were the groups of Andy Hansen and Austin Schloesser, Mick Smith and Craig Czerniejewski, and Mark Voeller and Doug Mortola. All three presented an impressive bogey free round which resulted in a 6-under-par 65. With straight tee times off no. 1, the committee had set a predetermined decision of no playoff, which gave each team the title of co-champions. For their play each team was able to win $1016.67.

In addition to the battle for the top spot the day also featured the rare feat of a hole-in-one. Keeping his September hot streak alive was Michael Crowley of Morningstar GC. The 2020 State Senior Open Champion knocked one in the jar, from 202 yards out, on the 4th hole of the Lake course.

The day once again would not have been possible with out the help of our tournament partners. A big thank you goes out to Harris Golf Cars, Yamaha Golf & Utility and Bushnell Golf for their continued support of the WPGA.

The WPGA would also like to express our appreciation to Pleasant View GC and their staff for doing a great job of hosting.
