Fairhaven, MA (January 17, 2018) – Titleist, Golf’s Symbol of Excellence, proudly announces the selection of Ted Robbins as 2017 Sales Representative of the Year. The official presentation to recognize Robbins for this distinguished honor took place during the Titleist National Sales Meeting in Palm Beach, Fla.
Robbins, who has been the Titleist full product line representative in central and southern Wisconsin since 1994, has combined sales excellence with strong customer relationships to earn the highest honor in the Titleist sales organization. His consistent record of sales achievement is the result of developing strong business partnerships. His commitment to service and sales professionalism also earned him his seventh Titleist Gold Circle Award, representative of excellence in annual sales performance, including his third in a row.
The Titleist Gold Circle is awarded to the Top 25% of Titleist representatives for sales growth and excellence. Robbins had an especially strong 2017, growing all the core categories of golf balls, golf clubs and gear. Additionally, he grew his Corporate Custom golf ball business. Over the last three years, Robbins has grown his territory by more than one million dollars in a market he has managed for 27 years.
“It has been a pleasure to watch Ted execute the last four years with such strong performances,” said Ryan Davis, Robbins’ Titleist Sales Leader. “But, more than just the sales numbers, Ted has operated at the highest levels in terms of planning, promotion and sales execution. I am not sure I have seen a more focused and determined representative. Ted is a terrific ambassador for the Titleist brand, and has earned a high level of respect and trust from his customers and fellow sales representatives and associates. His across-the-board performance in 2017, and consistent annual contributions across nearly three decades reflects the strength and dedication of our Titleist sales force to providing the highest level of service and support to our valued customers.”
A 1987 graduate of Springfield (MA) College, Robbins broke into the golf business as a Titleist customer service representative in 1988. He earned his first outside sales position just two years later and secured his current Wisconsin territory in 1994. Robbins and his wife Belinda reside in Hartland, Wisconsin and have four children: Kailey (24), Matthew (22), Patrick (20) and Joey (17).
