SENTRYWORLD DOUBLE DIP
PRO-AM EVENT PARTNERS

(4 Player Div. Champs – Eric Johnson, Jeff Sanger, Erik Stenseth & Andy Bacon)

(2 Player Div. Champs – Ryan Helminen & Bob Mandoli)

Aptly named, the Double Dip Pro-Am is the lone Pro-Am of the WPGA season where multiple team formats take place within the same event. For every foursome that signed up, their team was entered in both a 2 net best ball competition, and then the professional was paired up with each amateur on their team in a 1 of 2 net best ball event.

Prevailing in the four-player contest was the University Ridge GC squad of Erik Stenseth, Eric Johnson, Jeff Sanger and Andy Bacon. The winning team posted an impressive 21-under-par 123 score. Leading the way for the winning team was Stenseth as he was able to post eight birdies over the course of the round. The team score was good enough to just beat out the Ryan Helminen led team by one shot.

The win also helped Stenseth and company earn a spot in the Oliphant Golf Management Pro-Am Championship at The Golf Courses of Lawsonia on October 1st. Joining the winning team in the Pro-Am Championship field will be Helminen foursome and the Craig Czerniejewski captained team.

Although their good play did not lead them to the 4-player division win, both Helminen and partner Bob Mandoli were able to take home the win in the two-player contest after a scorecard playoff. The twosome carded a scorching 12-under-par 60.

In the low professional event it was the aforementioned trio of Stenseth, Helminen and Czerniejewski leading the way once again. Each of individuals posted an impressive 4-under-par 68. On the senior professional side of things it was Charlie Brown taking the top spot with a 3-under-par 69.

In addition to the team and low professional contests the day also featured some on course events with prizes compliments of Callaway Golf. Knocking it close on the par 3s and earning the prizes were Tyler Schmude (#3), Willy John (#7), Carl Anderson (#12) and Brent Neis (#16).

The fantastic day would not have been possible without the contributions of our Double Dip event partners. A big thank you goes out to the duo of Premier Golf & Utility Vehicles and Callaway Golf along with representatives Darrin DiChristopher, Steve Fischer, Ben Rudolph and Del Kolasinski for helping make it terrific day for the attendees.

A great deal of gratitude also goes out to the star of the day SentryWorld, and their entire staff. The club had everything covered, from top notch course conditions, to first class service, to a tasty food spread before and after play. The day left a lasting impression on all the attendees and provided affirmation of their Golf Digest ranking as a top 40 public course in the nation.
