2019 Wisconsin Section, PGA – Royal Cup Team

It was that time of the year once again where the the top playing assistants from the Wisconsin Section, PGA battle it out against their counterparts from the Illinois Section, PGA. Friday brought the two sections together at Sunset Ridge CC for the always fun Royal Cup. The exhibition again featured five matches of four-ball match play with 1 point at stake for the front, back and total in each match.
The competition faced its challenges with multiple weather delays, but the spirit of the players remained high and the play again produced another tight contest. Escaping with a 7.5 to 7.5 point tie and retaining the cup was the Wisconsin Section, PGA. The ten man team was led by Chad Sandee & Tyler Siech along with Andy Hansen and Keith Buntrock, as those duos were able to sweep the board in their respective matches.
The tie marks the fourth straight season that the Wisconsin Section, PGA has been able to claim the cup.
