The WPGA was back in action on Monday as thirty-four teams from throughout the Section teed it up at the rescheduled Spring Pro-Pro Scramble. After plenty of schedule shuffling the event was set to visit Morningstar Golfers Club in Waukesha.

On a day with little wind and prime scoring conditions, the task at hand was to see how low teams could go. With plenty of birdies and eagles there for the taking, a shootout would materialize very quickly.

That shootout would create quite the fireworks show, as the average score for all teams would be 64.50.

The winning squads however would cruise right past that average score, as a trio of teams posted the coveted 13-under-par 59 mark. Those twosomes would be Michael Crowley / Daniel Romero, Mark Krause / Peter Krause, and Mick Smith / Mark Voeller.

On the way to the win each team would go bogey free and pile up a combined thirteen birdies and eagles. For Crowley / Romero and Smith / Voeller a clutch final hole birdie helped deliver them to the winning score.

A big thank you goes out to event partner GolfStatus, and representative Jason Meininger. In addition to the normal sponsor duties, the software company helped provide a great live scoring solution for the players to enjoy throughout the day.

The WPGA would also like to thank Morningstar GC and their staff for hosting the rescheduled event. The club was great to work with as the WPGA had to switch up events and rework the original plan of the club hosting the Senior and Assistants Championship.
