The 2018 National Car Rental Assistant PGA Professional Championship will kick off Thursday morning, November 15th at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, FL. The 42nd playing of the event will run from Thursday until Sunday, with 18 holes scheduled for each day. The 132 player field will set their sights on birdies and eagles, as they look to go as low as possible. Four of the past five assistant championships have resulted in a winner that has hit double digits under par. This year’s contest will once again take place on the Wanamaker Course at PGA Golf Club, as they will host for the 23rd straight year. Representing the Wisconsin Section, PGA will be Mick Smith of Storm’s Golf Range and Kraig Joy of Ridgeway CC.

At stake is a $150,000 purse with the winner taking home $12,000. The Wisconsin PGA duo will look to play well in the first two rounds, as field will be trimmed to the low 70 and ties for the final two rounds. Scores for the first two rounds of play will be posted at the conclusion of each round, while live scoring will be available on the weekend.
