(Isaac Quella, Nate Pronschinske, Chas Pronschinske, Jerry Ratajczak)
The regular season of the WPGA Four-Player Pro-Am Series concluded on Monday evening at the University Club of Milwaukee. In mid-September you never know what you’re going get weather wise but Monday sure was a good one. The summer like conditions had everyone in a great mood and excited to be teeing it up.
Taking advantage of the pristine weather and going low in the one net one gross best ball format was the Ridgeway CC foursome. The group of Nate Pronschinske, Isaac Quella, Chas Pronschinske and Jerry Ratajczak were steady the entire round on the way to their 19-under-par 123 total. In total the group made 18 net birdies and 4 net eagles, which helped them play 15 of their 18 holes under par as a team. The score was good enough to hold off the Austin Gaugert led squad by just one shot.
For Pronschinske and Gaugert their team’s play helped secure one of the final spots into the Oliphant Golf Management Pro-Am Championship. Claiming the third spot on Monday was the Wyatt Wilderman led group from the River club of Mequon.
As for the low professional stableford events, they were once again closely contested. Carding a 4-under-par 67 and earning 40 points to take home the $600 first-place prize was Ryan Helminen. His score was good enough to nip Brian Brodell by one point.
Setting the pace for the over 50 crowd was Michael Crowley with 37 stableford points.
In addition to the standard contests the day also gave the amateurs a chance to knock it close on no. 3 to take home a new Vessel Tito’s branded golf bag. Hitting it to under 5 feet and winning the prize was Mike Preisler of Morningstar GC.
Helping present a great day for all the attendees were our event partners. A big thank you goes out to Prestwick Golf Group and Tito’s Vodka for their contributions and sponsorship of the University Club Pro-Am.
We’d also like to express our gratitude to everyone at the University Club of Milwaukee. Thank you to the membership for hosting us and the staff for their efforts leading up to the event and on the day of.
