The Wisconsin PGA’s Summer Pro-Ladies Four Player Event brought 25 foursomes to The Legend at Bergamont on Monday, August 10, for a day of competition, camaraderie and plenty of birdies.
The event featured 25 foursomes, each made up of one Wisconsin PGA Professional and three lady amateurs. The teams represented 15 different golf facilities from across Wisconsin, bringing together professionals and amateur players for a fun and competitive day on the course.
The teams competed in a two net best-ball format, with the two lowest net scores from each foursome counting toward the team’s total on each hole.
The format produced an exciting finish at the top of the leaderboard, with the teams led by Cody Strang and Jeff Kaiser both posting an impressive 25-under-par 119. The teams were declared co-champions of the 2026 Summer Pro-Ladies.
Strang’s team included Wendy Baumann, Chris Stone and Janna Rose, while Kaiser’s team featured Heidi Hinners, Jessie Gulden and Lindsey Huettl.
With both teams tied for the championship, a scorecard playoff was used to determine the winner of the event’s trophies and the team that would earn a spot in the Oliphant Golf Management Pro-Am Championship. Kaiser’s team prevailed in the playoff, taking home the winner’s trophies and securing the Pro-Am Championship berth, while both teams retained their status as co-champions.
The impressive showing continued from the home club, as the other The Legend at Bergamont teams finished third and fourth, giving the host facility three of the top four spots on the leaderboard.
In the individual professional competitions, Strang also led the way in the Low Professional Contest, posting 43 Stableford points with a 7-under-par 65. Kurt Mantyla claimed the Low Senior Professional Stableford title with 41 points.
Adding to the excitement were the day’s ASICS Golf shoes closest-to-the-pin prizes. Katie Mosey claimed the prize on Hole No. 4, Amy Gehrke was closest on Hole No. 7, Heidi Hinners won on Hole No. 14, and Tonya Brown took home the prize on Hole No. 17.
