The 40th playing of the U.S. Senior Open will get underway on Thursday, June 27th and run until Sunday, June 30th at the Warren Golf Course at Notre Dame.  Four Wisconsinites have made the short trek to South Bend and will be teeing it up this week.  Leading the way for the Wisconsin PGA will be Jim Schuman.  Schuman will be making his third straight appearance in the championship.  He will hit the course at 7:35 AM on Thursday for his first round of play.

Also in the field are PGA Tour Champions players Jerry Kelly and Steve Stricker, plus Kenosha amateur Todd Schaap.  The foursome will battle it out with the 156 player field.  First and foremost they will look to make the 36-hole cut as the field will be trimmed to the low 60 and ties.

The course will be quite the challenge as it will play to a Par 70 and be setup at just under 7000 yards.

The championship will be televised on FS1/Fox all four days and may be followed online here – https://www.usga.org/content/usga/home-page/championships/2019/u-s–senior-open.html#!latest
