FALL TAKE-TWO PRO-AM
EVENT PARTNER

Late last week the Wisconsin PGA ventured to Destination Geneva National for its first in-state multi-day pro-am. The Fall Take-Two Pro-Am Challenge put together a fun agenda over the course of the two days and the host facility did not disappoint.

With ideal weather, great course conditions and some tasty meals the players enjoyed everything Destination Geneva National has to offer.

During the event teams would tackle the Trevino and Player courses and also enjoy a fun side putting contest on the “Dance Floor”.

Thursday’s team contest counted the low two net balls on the Trevino Course. Friday’s team contest featured one net and one gross best ball from each foursome.

Sweeping the board and taking home both daily events and the overall competition was the foursome of Jordan Powell, Matt Markewicz, Jason Jendrach and Will Misenicky.

On Thursday they would secure a slim one stroke victory over the Drew Ringelstetter led Geneva National group. Their 15-under-par 129 total featured fourteen net birdies and one net eagle.

They would then back it up with another daily win on Friday as they would play even better in the one net one gross format. Their twenty-two net birdies and one net eagle propelled them to an 18-under-par 126. Good enough for a two-shot win.

Their 33-under-par 255 two-day total would hold off the Ringelstetter group by three shots.

In the daily low pro games Ringelstetter and Powell would also find success. Ringelstetter led the way on day one with 39 stableford points after shooting a 3-under-par 69. One day-two Powell would duplicate Ringelstetter’s day-one feat with his own 3-under-par 69 for 39 points.

Overall, Ringelstetter would get the last laugh by edging out Powell by three points.

In addition to the team and low professional events, the tournament also featured a fun side contest on the challenging “Dance Floor” at Destination Geneva National. The winding and hilly putting course saw teams competed in a two better ball format for some great FootJoy prizes. Coming out on top with an even-par total of 72 was the group of Glen Murray, Rob Jansen, Teddy Greenstein and Matt Perno. During the contest they made seven “ones” on the way to the win.

A big thank you goes out to Destination Geneva National for a providing a great two-days. The resort really rolled out the red carpet for the attendees and made sure that everyone received a great value.

The WPGA would also like to thank FootJoy for their support of the event. They helped provide all the players with a great gift package and some terrific prizes for the putting contest.
