The TaylorMade Pro-Am, held Monday, April 27, opened the pro-am season for the Wisconsin PGA, with 29 teams competing at Wisconsin Country Club on a challenging day of spring golf.
With periods of rain and temperatures hovering around 50 degrees, the conditions demanded patience and execution.
Teams were competing in the one net and one gross better ball format on Monday. The format and the weather kept the field tightly contested and ensured all four scores played a role in the outcome.
The team that executed the best, finishing on top, was led by Tim Pridemore of Washington County Golf Course, alongside amateurs Ben Landvatter, Pete Kaufmann, and Damon Gnewikow. The group posted a winning total of 13-under-par 131, giving them a three-shot victory. The squad was steady throughout the day, as they only played one hole over par in the team format.
In the individual low professional competitions, David Roesch won both the low stableford and low senior stableford titles with 36 points, highlighted by four birdies.
Closest-to-the-pin honors went to Sean O’Connor on hole #4, Craig Podlesnik on #8, Dane Fronek on #11, and Cory Savage on #16.
Adding significance to the competition, the top three teams earned qualification into the Oliphant Golf Management Pro-Am Championship. Along with the winning team, squads led by David Roesch and Craig Czerniejewski secured their spots in the championship field.
The Wisconsin PGA would like to extend a sincere thank you to Wisconsin Country Club for being a gracious host and also to our event partners, TaylorMade Golf, The Sherpa, and the American Family Insurance Championship – for their partnership and efforts to make a great day for the attendees.
