For the third time in four weeks the Wisconsin PGA Pro-Am Series was back on course. This week featured twenty-five teams tackling Tuckaway CC, just outside of Milwaukee.
With an ominous forecast the day was not looking promising, however lady lucky turned out to be on the side of the WPGA. After just a short delay to start the rest of the day went off without a hitch.
With soft conditions and very light winds came a receptive golf course. The scoring showed as the victorious squad from Hidden Glen GC was able to post a 19-under-par 125 in the one net, one gross best ball format. The foursome of Tom Burton, Blake Seider, Brent Luft and Travis Dowden was able to pile up 13 natural birdies on the way to the win. The score was good enough to hold off the Kyle Kunash led team by one shot.
Helping lead the way for the winning squad was Burton, with a 5-under-par 67 on his own ball. The impressive score would top the board in the low pro game and also be matched by Tuckaway CC Assistant Professional, Keith Buntrock.
In the low senior professional game it would be John Freeman and Mark Krause tying with 1-under-par 71s.
A big thank you goes out to The Suter Ward Group at Morgan Stanley for their continued support of the pro-am. Their event contribution helped put together another top notch day for all the attendees to enjoy.
The WPGA would also like to express its gratitude to the members and staff of Tuckaway CC for hosting. The club did another great job of showcasing a well conditioned course, and put together some very nice food offerings.
