The Wisconsin PGA Four-Player Pro-Am Series was back on course on Tuesday. After being derailed by some wet weather back in early May the participants of the TaylorMade Pro-Am were greeted with a beautiful day for golf. Originally scheduled to take place at the Wisconsin Club the event was moved to long-time pro-am host Geneva National Resort & Club when it was rescheduled.

Twenty-seven teams from throughout the section teed it up in search of the title and a coveted spot in the Oliphant Golf Management Pro-Am Championship.

With the great weather and solid course conditions the teams were primed to go low. Finding their way to the top of the leaderboard were two foursomes. The group of Shaun Finley, Mike Greenwold, Irv Hirschfeld and Nick Schulz from The Oaks were able to match the Ryan Helminen led group with Ze Vue, Chris Lindberg and Bob Mandoli. Each foursome was able to post an impressive 17-under-par 127 in the two net better ball format.

Grabbing a little bragging rights and taking home the 1st place trophies via a scorecard playoff was the Finley led squad.

Since The Oaks GC foursome had not qualified for the Pro-Am Championship they claimed the all important invite with their play. Earning the final two spots were the Jason Rasmussen TaylorMade team and Andy Podolak led foursome.

In the low pro event it would Helminen leading the way with a very solid 4-under-par 68. His round featured five birdies and just one bogey on the difficult Palmer Course. In the low senior event it’d be Brad Peck leading the way with a 76.

In addition to the standard contests the day also featured some fun proxy events for the amateurs, compliments of TaylorMade Golf and Tito’s Vodka.

#3 – Dave Halverson, #8 – Dan Jeserig, #13 – Amy Wann, #16 – Tom Mildren

Once again the day would not be possible without the terrific support of our event partners. A big thank you goes out to our presenting partner, TaylorMade Golf, and supporting partners Tito’s Vodka and the American Family Insurance Championship.

We’d also like to thank Geneva National Resort & Club for being a great host. The club stepped up when a site was needed after our original rainout, which is truly appreciated.
