Mother Nature delivered a great fall day as the Wisconsin PGA closed out the tournament season with the Fall Pro-Pro Bonus Better Ball on Monday. The late addition to the calendar brought together a field of 48 professionals to enjoy the Ponds and Woods course at Kettle Hills GC.

The two-player team event would feature four-ball stroke play as the main contest. The bonus portion of the event had teams blind drawing a fellow twosome, and then taking the two four-ball scores to create the bonus game score.

Earning the four-ball win was the duo of Austin Gaugert and David Roesch. The pair of individual WPGA match play champions would get off to a hot start with birdies on four of their first six holes. After the great start, they wouldn’t look back. They’d go bogey free for the entire round, and tack on three more birdies over the course of the final twelve holes. Their 7-under-par 65 would give them a two shot win over Andy Hansen and Keith Buntrock.

Taking home the bonus game’s top prize was Mitch Steiner, Rollin Petersen, Josh Grisa and David Bach. Steiner and Petersen would card a 4-under-par 68, while Grisa and Bach would shoot a 69. The 137 combined total would beat Gaugert, Roesch, Josue’ Reyes and Glen Murray by two shots.

The WPGA would like to thank Kettle Hills GC and their staff for hosting the final event of the season. The club did a nice job of making sure the day went off without a hitch.
