The 33rd Senior PGA Professional Championship presented by Cadillac and supported by the GOLF Channel will kick off on Thursday, October 21 at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, FL. The event features 264 PGA Professionals who are at least 50 years of age, from throughout the 41 PGA sections.

Leading the way for the Wisconsin PGA is Kurt Mantyla, Michael Crowley, John Freeman and Jim Schuman. The foursome will be led by Mantyla, as he earned his spot in the field with a victory at the 2021 Wisconsin Senior PGA Professional Championship back in July at Morningstar GC.

The 72-hole Championship will run from Thursday until Sunday, with players competing for a purse of over $300,000. Each player will play one round each on the Wanamaker and Ryder courses during the first two days of play. Then after the second round of play the field will be cut to the low 90 players and ties. There will then be another cut after 54 holes of play, leaving the low 70 and ties to compete on the final day.  The final two rounds of play will take place on the Wanamaker course.

Also at stake is a chance to qualify for the 2022 Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid next May. The low 35 players will earn a chance to tee it up at the first senior major championship of the year.
