The 2022 PGA Professional Championship kicks off on Sunday, April 17 at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, TX. The Wisconsin PGA will be represented by five professionals in this year’s 312 player field. Each individual earned a spot into the event with their play at the Wisconsin PGA Professional Championship last September.

Representing the Wisconsin Section this year is:

Tom Burton – Assistant PGA Professional – Hidden Glen Golf Club (Cedarburg)
Jeff Kaiser – PGA Club Fitting Specialist – TaylorMade Player Development Center (Madison)
Jim Schuman – PGA Director of Instruction – Blue Mound Golf & Country Club (Wauwatosa)
Mick Smith – PGA Teaching Professional – The Practice Station (New Berlin)
Erik Stenseth – Assistant PGA Professional – University Ridge GC (Madison)

The championship will run from Sunday, April 17 until Wednesday, April 20 and feature a $675,000 purse. The field will face a cut to the low 90 and ties after the second round of play. Then a secondary cut will be made after 54 holes, with the low 70 and ties advancing to the final day.

The low 20 scorers at the championship will earn an invitation to compete in the 2022 PGA Championship at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma in May.
