Jacob Babcock, Tim Boegh, Molly Braid and Bobby Peterson were recently recognized as rising stars in the golf instructor category. The four Wisconsin PGA members claimed a spot on the Golf Digest Best Young Teachers in America list for 2025-2026 in early October.
26 different individuals from the Midwest Region were recognized by the publication for their teaching and coaching skills.
Babcock and Peterson are one of the 59 newcomers to the list, while Boegh and Braid have now been included on the list multiple times.
Babcock was elected to PGA membership in 2010 and has been employed by GOLFTEC Wisconsin since his election to membership. He currently is the Director of Instruction and a Co-Owner for the Mequon location. In 2023 he was recognized as the GOLFTEC Coach of the Year.
Boegh was elected to PGA membership in 2008 and has been employed by GOLFTEC Wisconsin since shortly after his election to membership. He currently is the Director of Instruction and a Co-Owner for the Madison location. In 2016 he was recognized as the GOLFTEC Coach of the Year.
Braid was elected to PGA membership in 2012 and is also an LPGA Certified Professional. She has been a self-employed PGA teaching professional at Westmoor Country Club under her Braid Golf brand since moving to Wisconsin in 2018. In 2022 she was honored with the Wisconsin PGA Teacher of the Year award.
Peterson was elected to PGA membership in 2011 and is PGA Certified Professional in Golf Operations and Teaching and Coaching. Peterson has been the head PGA professional at Milwaukee Country Club since 2020. He was formerly a Master Instructor at Jim McLean Golf School in Miami Beach. He also was honored as the 2012 Gulf States Section Assistant Professional of the Year.
