Nelthorpe Cup

The Nelthorpe Cup was started in 1968 by Tom Stouthamer of Westmoor Country Club and Carl Unis, head professional of Brynwood Country Club.  The event was named for the late Westmoor CC golf professional and Wisconsin Hall of Famer Blackie Nelthorpe.  For year by year results, click on this link - Nelthorpe Cup History.

The WPGA, in conjunction with the WSGA, co-sponsors this “all-star” event in which the twelve highest ranked amateurs along with the four highest ranked senior amateurs compete against their professional counterparts in a team competition conducted under a match-play format.  In 2010, two juniors and two assistant professionals were added to the teams.  The competition features Individual (Singles) matches and Four-Ball (Bestball) match play. The Nelthorpe Cup Matches annually showcase the states best golfers and is by invitation only.
